console or gui boot?


Is there config file in redhat 9 to change whether it boots strait to the gui or console boot? because I accidently set it up to boot strait to gui and me no like that.

go into the console and log in as root
open the file /etc/inittab with a text editor of your choice...
change the line that says::
id:5:initdefault:
to say :
id:3:initdefault:
and that be it

what is a good way to find out what editors we have cuz i thought i had poco so i put poco /etc/inittab but i guess i didn't help!

first: it's pico not poco! at least i haven't heard of poco! and redhat no longer ships with pico!
