Hello everyone..

Never had problems before...

This morning all of a sudden I cant connect to the internet it dials and goes to logging on to network and then a error message as follows

couldn't find Service ppp in cached
PAP authentication failed

I spoke with my service provider and the can log in and unfortunately the now little about linux..

Please anyone can help...

Hi,you didn't say what distro or dialer you were using i.e are you using kppp in the KDE desktop?
If so start the program and choose the setup button and click on the modem tag at the top of the dialog box which pops up.Check the modem is being seen and the device is the right one i.e dev/modem or dev/stty# points to the correct port that your modem is on.There is a query modem button which attempts to talk with your modem and make sure it's there - try it.
Let me know what modem you have,distro etc. and I'll try and help if I can.
