Connection reset by peer

Hi,

I could SSH to a remote pc in the same LAN, but after a while, the connection was closed with an error prompting

ssh root@172.16.0.67
ssh: connect to host 172.16.0.67 port 22: Connection refused

When I tried to reconnect using SSH, it displayed

ssh: connect to host 172.16.0.67 port 22: Connection refused

For other pc, SSH is working alright. Any idea on what happen to the connection?

Thanks.

You got dropped for one of many many reasons. Could've been a hiccup on the server, could've been that the other PC was rebooted, ISP troubles, someone closed your session, etc....
