HI again :

Yesterday i asked you people if it's possible to be hacked in your site . Today it happend again .

Error

/home/jamaso/.kde/share/apps/kppp/kppp.pid file

another instance of kppp seems to running under process - id 13042

Make sure you're not running another kppp, delete the pid file , and restart kppp

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to the konsole on the control center and manage to kppp, and this came:

opener: received setsecret
opener: received openlock
opener: received open device
opener: received exc pppdaemon
in parent: pppd pid 16582
kernel support ppp alright
opener: received open resolv
" "
" "
opener: received remove secret
" "

---------------------------------------------------------------------

After that i got connected . and again while i was writing i got disconnected here's the continuing story :
a window opened saying : pppd daemon died unexpectedly
exit status :16

---------------------------------------------------------------
on the console:

it was pppd that died
pppd exited with return value 16 sending 16578 a SIGUSR1

---------------------------------------------------------------

help please

PEACE

this happens when kppp doesn;t close properly (when it crashes for example). this means that its lock file, kppp.pid. still exists which usually means that kppp is already running. if you delete this file kppp will run normally again and recreate the file (it does this when run normally anyway. upon starting up it creats this file, then when it closes it deletes it).

does you ISP cut you off after a certain period or time? sometimes ISPs cut you off if you haven't been using your connection for sometime. try keeping your email client open at the same time and checking for messages every 2 minutes or so.
