Connection Problem
 

I'm Using a Sagem Fast 800 Modem, Mandriva 2005 LE using, modem connects to Internet but after 10 minutes it disconnects, what is the problem and how do I resolve it also is there a way I can make it connect automatically. Thank you.:confused:

First look into /var/log/messages file (you need to be root to read it). It should have a number of messages about your modem connection. What's more interesting, disconnect reason should also be inside. Please post fragments of the file (if it's not clear to you what to do with it).

Found what the problem was and repaired it, it was the connection at the filter and have repaird it . Thank you.
