Connecting USB MOUSE on SuSe 9.2


i have a laptop, so when im using my TOuchpad, i connect an usbmouse, but i does not do ANYTHING, is there something i have to do to make it work? is nt usb HOTPLUG.. lets see..

Only time I've had that problem is when I got a really-really cheap mouse, not even windows would play ball with it. I splashed out and spent a whole £9.99 on a new one and problem solved. Are you able to get you hands on another mouse to see if that solves it?
