Connecting to Puppy Linux 5.4 from Windows remote desktop
Linux newbie here. I'm a long-time hardware guy and have a home network used for learning about Linux and repairing other Windows PCs. One machine is running Ubuntu 12.10 and I can control it remotely from a Windows PC using Remote Desktop (works with Win7 and Win8).
Another old and small machine (Compaq EVO D600 with 768mb ram and a Pentium 4 1.7Ghz) on this network is running Puppy Linux 5.4 and of course it is not as feature loaded as Ubuntu. What can I do to make this machine controllable from my main Windows machine? Thanx in advance... |
The simplest approach is to install a VNC server of some sort (whatever is available in Puppy). You'll need to get a VNC client in Windows.
