Unhappy Connecting to net on red hat 9


Hi people. I finally got my Red Hat 9 to install on my computer but when i set up my internet connection, it picks the modem up as generic and i enter my connection details to connect to the net using dial up but when i activate it it just says please wait activating, but just stays like that for a while please help

Do you have a winmodem? if the box says that it works in windows and nothing else, then you'll need to get a driver for it. i use pctel-0.9.6 and it works great.
