Connect to internet through network
I have loaded Fedora Core 1 and connected it to the network cable. The card seems to be working. When I start Mozilla, the bottom right icon says that it is connected, but I cannot get outside to the internet. I'm running an NT server, which I'm not familiar with.
When I log into the windows machines, I have to configure the internet properties to a proxy server and port. It is written as QSDBES01 and port 80. When I go into the proxy setting on Fedora, it does not like this way it is written. I am guessing that this is one of the problems. |
You need the domain name or IP of the proxy server. There's probably a way you can get the information from Windows machines. My guess is that's the NT sever. Enter it's IP as proxy and check if it works.
