ardvark71, thanks for the information and directions, I will probably eventually try the process on chili555 post as you suggest. I did however access and connect to my wifi with little to no problems on another laptop and I am going to use it vs the first laptop for now as I fear messing with the network connections/adapters and etc. on it might give me more problems than I can deal with. Thank you and frankbell and TxLonghorn and un1x for all your assistance in this matter.
