confused with openvpn
I have already posted a different question regarding a problem i have with openvpn but i think i realized i am a bit confused.
I have a LAN which consist of one server (centos) that is running apache and openvpn server and another PBX-VoIP server. I have added a link with a brief sketch, demonstrating my LAN. http://i.imgbox.com/aczI0yr6.jpeg What i want to do, is, when i am outside from home, to be able to access my LAN`s services from internet using OpenVPN. For example, when i connect with openvpn FROM INTERNET to my LAN, i want to be able to open firefox, enter 192.168.0.100 (LAN server IP ) and be able to view apache`s webpage. Question: Does this involves Bridging or Routing the VPN subnet with my LAN subnet? |
After studying i found out that my problem is pretty common
Connecting to a vpn gateway and browsing is different from connecting and gaining resources from the lan. To share LAN`s resources we must either bridge the VPN subnet with the LAN or route them. This guides below helped me alot to solve my problem and learn a few stuff. Accessing LAN Resources Openvpn Bridging and Routing |
