Have you searched for the correct module to use for set up? After you find the correct module, type as root in a terminal:
without the <> characters and with the correct module name. This should get the USB modem installed for you. If it doesn't work, you might have to download the module from somewhere and then install it with
as root. man insmod for more information on this. I don't know if that modem is Linux compatible or not so a search for that might help as well. I don't run Suse and I know some of the files are different from Slack so I can't really help much more than this. Hopefully a Suse user will be able to help you out better.
