Question Configuring xampp for linux

Hi, i have been into linux about couple of weeks.
I use Mandriva. I got to develop web system for my final year project, so i decided to use xampp as my everything server. Installation process successfully ran. But, i got problem with htdocs directory that act as document root for apache server. I cannot write, move files into it. Access denied! i dont know how to solve it.

I need dozen of resolution, thanks..

Well, check the owner and permissions of the "htdocs", and as which user "xampp" runs.
