Unhappy configuring tata photon plus for mint12.


i m very new to Linux os.Today i install Linux mint 12 os 32bit.i used virtual drive method for it.
when i configure my modem i got "sudo wvdial" command is not found. how to get rid from it??
i have a working internet connection on my window 7-64 bit. But there is no internet connection for mint.so i can download stuff for it.
i have no idea what to do??and how to do??
somebody please guide me.....
