configuring samba


hi,

i had fc5 before and used to access the my other computer, but now when i have installed suse when i say \\other_pc_ipaddress i can not access the shared docs in other pc..

is there any configuration i need to do?

Samba client is what you need to configure. The shortened name for it is smbclient. You can issue a whole string to mount the desired shares from the command line, or you can try doing it from the gui with the smb:\\computer\share. Just make sure you have smbclient installed, and you may need to go into the configuration of samba and make sure you have the right domain/workgroup information.
