Configuring printer with Mandriva

I have Mandriva 2005 and Samsung printer. I have try to configure my printer but the model is not in the distribution. In the internet there is a driver for my printer but when I want to install it it said that I don't have the file ppd/fr. (my Mandriva is in french)
