Configuring postfix server

Hi,

I've been trying to send mail to email account even after installing postfix but am not able to do so.My distro is Centos 5.4.

I followed the Centos user guide to install and configure postfix into the server,

Code:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/postfix
but still didn't receive any email.

Pls help because I'm totally clueless.

Thanks.

I now know that I have to configure dns mx to actually be able to send email correctly to my mail.
I have the link(user guide) on how to do this :

Code:
http://bobcares.com/blog/?p=29
but where do I configure it? Is there a specific file for the configuration? I really don't understand this part.

Take a look at the DNS howto:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/DNS-HOWTO.html
and others (http://tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX/howtos.html)

You can also ask for help to specific mailing lists.
1) For postfix follow directions at http://www.postfix.org/lists.html
To subscribe, send mail to majordomo@postfix.org with content (in the message body):
subscribe postfix-users

2) For DNS/BIND:
https://lists.isc.org/mailman/listinfo/bind-users
