configuring linux


Can I configure linux so that a particular user can login only once into the system.
For eg : if I telnet into the system from a particular site ,any other person should not be able to login into the system with the same username.

I don't know how to do this off-hand but you need to look at the documentation for PAM (pluggable authentication modules).

thanks for the reply, but as I not very much found of linux internals, can u describe briefly what PAM is all about.
