configuring grub-dual boot debian winXP different HD's
Ok so, i would consider my self to still be a linux newb so i thought i would post here. I have 2 HD a 250 with winxp already on it and i just recieved a 160 which i put debian on. Now i was having some difficulty installing debian and in the end i ended up unpluging my winxp drive from sata1 and putting the debian drive on sata1. Then i installed debian no problem and now i have to hook up my winxp drive and when doing that i put it on sata2. Now my bios took that as sata 1 beeing idemaster 3 and sata2 as idemaster4 so i played around for a bit and got sata1 to be idemaster1 and sata3 to ideslave1(i switched my winxp drive to sata3).
And that whole time it was seeing my dvddrive as idemaster1 before i played around with it.
so basic question, what do i have to configure with grub to be able to dual boot both OS from separate HD's. Also do i have to change anything in my fstab to declare my winxp drive as hdb.
Thank you
PS. ask if you need anything clarifyed ADD makes me have jumbled thoughts.
