configure terminal menu bar

How can I configure the background color of the terminal menu bar ?
I get 2 different colors when connecting to 2 different servers with Nx/VNC:

Hi Meirm
The bar you are reffering to is defined by your GTK theme, you can find a new theme and install it , your repo's should have some, also Gnome-Look has plenty to choose from.
I'm guessing you see two different colours because one terminal is a root terminal using the default gtk theme for root user, the other is 'user' terminal which uses your chosen gtk theme.
The other option for changing colours is to edit the file in ~/.config/gtk*/gtk.css (if it exists) and change colour hex therein, good luck.

How can I find out which theme is being loaded ?
I have .gtkrc-1.2-gnome2 which includes .gtkrc.mine
I edited .gtkrc.mine but it didn't change the theme.
So how can I make sure these files will be loaded ?
Thx

One window (the first) no longer has focus?
New Focus'd windows may all be blue, try a 3rd.
