Configure Error !!.

hello all,
i am installing a programming language called System C and during the installation i am supposed to run the ../configure command but it shows me this error

Code:
bash-3.00$ ../configure
checking build system type... configure: error: cannot guess build type; you must specify one
any ideas!!..

I havent done anything weird uptil now in installtaion
Just untar the systemc.tgz then
issued the command export CXX="/share/..../g++"
and after that configure command..

Thanks

Try running the configure script with a --help switch, and see if it presents an option for specifying the build type. It should if it's at all following the 'generally followed' standard.
