Unhappy Configuration PB

Hello,

I tried to set confioguration parameters in .bash_profile.

For some reason, when I refernce $ORACLE_HOME, the paramters are not set right.
eg:

export ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0
export PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin

when viewing the .bash_profile file I see:

export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
export ORACLE_BASE=/opt/oracle
export ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/product/9.2.0
export ORACLE_SID=ORCL
export ORACLE_TERM=xterm
export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
export ORA_NLS33=/ocommon/nls/admin/data
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib:/lib:/usr/lib
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=:/usr/local/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export PATH=/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/b
in:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin:/bin
export DISPLAY=:0.0

For some reason, the .bash_profile is not keepings its settings.

Any reason this is happening ^

Just a stupid question, but could you specify on how you are editing it? It might make it easier for myself or someone else to help you.
