Conexant ADSL modem problem

I suspect that this question has been asked before ,but I have a Conexant ADSL modem and having just installed Redhat 8.0,I have found that it does not load any drivers for my modem or even recognise it.

I know next to nothing about Linux,so if someone could explain in really simple terms how to get my modem working,I would be extreemly grateful.

Google for linux conexant, there is a guy who signed an NDA with them and they produce binary drivers, follow the instructions on that site
