Complete server backup

Hello!

I'm currently running a server (http, mysql etc...) and I want to backup everything from mysql bases to the files. I'm doing a little upgrade that includes a HDD replacement so I want to backup everything before I do so. Any quick tips or do I have to export every mysql DB by hand etc...?

Cheers
shorto

If you're not changing mysql versions, copying the files in the mysql directory should be sufficient. Do this while mysql is not running and test it by moving the existing databases somewhere else and restoring the backup.
