Compiz water effects problem


ok when im runing the water effects in compiz like the rain and the water stream thing with the mouse (like the fire) my screens lose all text and if theres a window open it turns solid white is this a graphics card problem or what? and the water effects wiper thing doesnt seem to do anything either like that one i cant even get to work.

Could you mention on which one of you computers does this happen? your laptop or your desktop?
And what kind of graphics card do you have? nvidia, ati..???
