Unhappy Compiz crashed and won't work anymore.

I don't really remember what I did, but after I used AVN (Avant-windows-navigator) it crashed together with compiz-fusion, and now whenever I run compiz or compiz --replace, it won't work, windows decorations just dissapear (no decorated frame around windows) and no 3d effets either.

here's the output from "compiz --replace"

Code:
libGL error: drmMap of framebuffer failed (Invalid argument)
libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering
compiz (core) - Fatal: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work.
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0

I also installed some updates before that, but I can't recall which ones I installed.

Using Mandriva 2008.0, KDE 3.5.7, Compiz-Fusion, Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller

Well, being as you can't recall what updates you installed I'd suggest completely removing Compiz and reinstalling from scratch. Probbably a config file problem but that may be the easiest way of getting it working again. Is good to keep track of any updates you install.

I did reinstall it from scratch after it stopped working, but still it won't work.
Someone told me that OpenGL extension or direct rendering is disabled, but how do I enable it?
I tried to restore my xorg.conf file from backup, but still no changes.

Problem solved

Problem solved,
I uninstalled Intel driver that came from backports repository, and installed older from Main repository. Now everything works.
Solution found here.
