Compiz crashed and won't work anymore.
I don't really remember what I did, but after I used AVN (Avant-windows-navigator) it crashed together with compiz-fusion, and now whenever I run compiz or compiz --replace, it won't work, windows decorations just dissapear (no decorated frame around windows) and no 3d effets either.
here's the output from "compiz --replace" Code:
libGL error: drmMap of framebuffer failed (Invalid argument) I also installed some updates before that, but I can't recall which ones I installed. Using Mandriva 2008.0, KDE 3.5.7, Compiz-Fusion, Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller |
Well, being as you can't recall what updates you installed I'd suggest completely removing Compiz and reinstalling from scratch. Probbably a config file problem but that may be the easiest way of getting it working again. Is good to keep track of any updates you install.

Someone told me that OpenGL extension or direct rendering is disabled, but how do I enable it? I tried to restore my xorg.conf file from backup, but still no changes. |
Problem solved
Problem solved,
I uninstalled Intel driver that came from backports repository, and installed older from Main repository. Now everything works. Solution found here. http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=37214 |
