You're trying to use software that (most likely) isn't installed. You shouldn't assume that gcc has been installed, because it may be that Fedora doesn't install development packages unless you specifically tell it to (I don't know, I don't use Fedora). So, the obvious thing to try would be to install gcc. There's information on installing software in Fedora here
