Compiling PHP with IMAP

Hey Guys,
Hopefully simple question,
I have Web Host Manager and had someone recently compiled php 4.4.4
but I can't seem to get Imap working and I don't see it compiled in there.
I want to make sure I keep everything that is currently compiled in php and just add IMAP is there a way to do that easily?

Also does anyone know where I can pay someone to add/fix features on my Linux box?

Thanks

To add imap support, configure php as follows,
Code:
$./configure --with-imap
If you want to see the original flags used to compile PHP, take a look at config.log in the build directory or run the function phpinfo() in a php page.

As for administering server, maybe look for a freelance server admin.

I'm receiving this error when i try to install...

checking for U8T_CANONICAL... no
configure: error: utf8_mime2text() has new signature, but U8T_CANONICAL is missing. This should not happen. Check config.log for additional information.

a bit late, but handy for future use/search :

you need to install the washington edu imapd libraries.

ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/imap/imap-2007d.tar.gz

I had to adjust the os dependent Makefile to adjust my SSL paths (for slackware that is).

after you make it you'll need to copy over the c-client.a to ie /usr/local/imapd2007/c-client.a

this dir will be used for the --with-imap=/usr/local/imapd2007/c-client.a in php.

Why didn't you simply re-use Pat's build-scripts? He
compiles PHP w/ IMAP support, and you could have kept
all the soft in the default locations...
