Compiling a new kernel 2.6.34-rc5 on RHEL 5 Beta ??

I am in verse to compile a new kernel 2.6.34-rc5 on RHEL 6 Beta.I have been following http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/compil...kernel-26.html for the same. One important help I need is how can i select all the options during :
Code:
make menuconfig/make gconf/make xconfig
I just saved it under .config and when I ran :
make modules it threw errro saying "modules not included".
So i want to select complete options during make xconfig.
pls Help.

Smile re

by typing the code

Code:
make menuconfig
In that you could get a blue screen. From there you could select the different options. use space bar to select modules/compile within option. After selecting the needed ones, exit from it and it will ask you to save the config file.

Then try make modules. Hope this will help you

I did ran:
make menuconfig and just did Exit without doing any modification to selecting options.
Just Exited and it saved it as .config.
But it showed errror while I ran
#make install
# make install
sh /usr/src/linux-2.6.34-rc5/arch/x86/boot/install.sh 2.6.34-rc5 arch/x86/boot/bzImage \
System.map "/boot"
