Compaq Trinitron Monitor P900, Model PE 1030 driver.
 
Need a driver for a Compaq P900 Trinitron monitor, Model PE1030 using Linux Mint 8 Helena. Unable to change resolution. Max is 600 x 400. Appreciate any inputs.

How are you trying to change resolution? What is the output of the xrandr command?

Not familiar with xrandr cmd. Need to do some homework. Tried using the menu screen to
change resolution but it does not accept inputs.

Open a terminal (in the Utilities menu?), type in xrandr and press Enter. Copy and paste the output here.
