commit interval 5 seconds
Hi,
I recently installed Ubuntu 9.04 on a WD 320gb usb hdd. It works fine on my new laptop that has the ability to boot direct from usb-hdd, however when i attempt to boot it on an older laptop without bios support (using a usb boot cd) it starts to load then hangs at:
commit interval 5 seconds
ext3-fs mounted filesystem with ordered data mode
Then i get dropped into busybox after a minute or two. The usb boot cd i'm using is the one found at pendrivelinux so its pretty standard for the version of ubuntu i have.
As i said, it boots fine on my newer laptop...anyone have any ideas why it isn't booting on the older one?
