Command line/scripting practice
Hello, new to Linux (cyber security student taking a class as a course requirement). I have a virtual machine set up running Ubuntu, and I'm interested in getting some practice scripting since our class labs are pretty basic. Are there any good resources out there for learning/practicing scripts, or is my best bet to just get a command lien reference and start pouring through?

These are some good resources:

One thing that really helped me was conky. It's a program that lets you display different information on your desktop. I spent a lot of time scripting to get the information I wanted in exactly the way I wanted to show up. It might be worth a look.
