command for sounds
 
could anyone please tell me the command for making the puter beep when making a script . I am making a menu script for school. and need it to beep to draw attention to the screen. thanks for any help ,,,,lung

sorry if this isn't what you are looking for, but you didn't mention what language you are using.

There's 'beep' command. It has a man page and lots of options. That's the easiest way to do what you want.

I'm not moving this to Programming because, if I understand the question corrrectly, it's rather about software :)
