Colinux

Hello everyone,

Recently, I've come across an article on running colinux under window os. I have download the package 0.6.2 but have not fully installed it for trial. Is it worthwhile to install also the ext3 file system for trial. Besides, I want to have more information on how to get it work coherently with window os and if crash will occur to my current system. Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Cooperative Linux, abbreviated as coLinux, is software which allows Microsoft Windows and the Linux kernel to run simultaneously in parallel on the same machine.

install linux. now from windows you can run linux using colinux.

Thanks Raju.mopidevi,

I download the debian package and extracted it correctly. But when I started the daemon, error occured and says:

"VFS: Cannot open root device "hda1" or unknown-block(0,0)"
"Please append a correct "root=" boot option"
"Kernel panic - not syncing VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)"

I have changed the device from 'hda1 to hdb1' or to 'cobd0 or cobd1' but it resulted the same. I am looking forward to some more advices on the matter. Many thanks in advance.
