closing the section headings window on the left of the xpdf screen
I'm embarrassed to ask this question; should be able to find the answer on the web but don't know the terminology. When I open a pdf file (e.g., beamer file) using xpdf, there's an annoying window on the left displaying section headings. Presumably it's possible to close it, ideally toggle it closed and open with a key binding, but I can't find out how to do this. Can somebody please advise?
Thanks, Leo |
have you tried the F buttons?

Write an xpdfrc. I have one lying there (exampole file thrown into /etc and a few tweaks) and they rarely appear. Often there's an 'X' thing in their top right you can zap them with. Beware that it may want that file in /usr/etc, or /usr/local/etc, or somewhere.

xpdf is a fat programm. try epdfview.. faster.. slimmer.. quicker perhaps it would be ok with epdfview? |
Down at the right side bottom of the index pane there is a little square button. Left click and drag it shut with your mouse, or size it where you want.
