closing ports in red hat

i want to find the file that opens/closes ports/services in red hat (7.1) so to secure my machine. ive read that the file is called inetd.config in the /etc/ folder. the only one that looks like it could be this is called services.config. is this the one?

damn this place needs a REAL FAQ Jeremy!!!!!

you've got xinetd, not inetd. look in /etc/xinetd.d for individual files
