Unhappy client can`t upload file, can reply email


Hello All. I have problem my server with os mandrake 9.0.

Everything is work except this. Client can`t upload file with bigger size 20 kb. There are can`t reply email direct.It must delete last email and send new. What the problem and what I must set on my server.Client os is windows 98 SE.

Are you using FTP and if so what ftp program?

my client use cute ftp with passive mode.

How does you network look like? Which ftp and mail server do you use?

I`m not use ftp and mail server on my server.
My server with 2 NIC and anything is work. Ping client to server work, internet work, just that, my client can`t upload file to another website on NET and can`t reply email directly.

Where is the server you can't upload to? Is it outside your network or is it your Mandrake box?

So I guess it's something related to your firewall or connection sharing (it's the same in Linux). How have you configured it? Have you used default settings or you've written the script on your own?

About firewall : I`m not use firewall (no firewall).I have try use firewall but all connection not work, so now I`m not use firewall.

This my configure network:
- etho0 : ipaddress: 192.168.1.1
netmask : 255.255.255.0
startatboot : I leave blank.
- etho1 : ipaddress: I use ip from my provider
netmask : I use ip from my provider
gateway : I use ip from my provider
gateway device : etho0

I use iptables, my squid is active too.
