CLI -- Logging Out and Logging In

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there a CLI command that is like "Log Out" in the K Start button? And then what would the CLI command be for "Logging In" like when you're out to the KDE Log In screen. Just curious.

Logging out - i normally use ctrl-D you can also type
Code:

exit
Logging in - You will be returned to a login prompt when logging out so you only need enter user/pass again

You can try it by using the virtual terminals

Code:

ctrl-alt-F1
when you want to return to the one running X do
Code:

ctrl-alt-F7
