clear X framebuffer
i'm running slackware 12 and whenever i start X up, it briefly flashes some junk on the screen. it usually looks like the distorted leftovers of the last frame from my last X session. In other distros that i've used, this doesn't happen, so there seems to be a way to stop it. i'd imagine that it involves flushing the framebuffer after closing X or before starting it. anybody know?
