CJK frustrations
 

Hi, i was wondering if there is anyone who uses cjk-lyx and got it to work with chinese, can help me.

Currently, I can type chinese in lyx, but when i export to dvi or pdf I can't read the chinese. however, when I export to tex, and open the file in kwrite, I can see the chinese charactes correctly. Is this normal? I think I didn't install something correctly, or didn't do something right, so I am thinking of uninstalling cjk-lyx and tetex-latex, and hope someone can give me the step by step aid in proper installation.

on the cjk-lyx website, there was mention of a chinese-tex (chi-tex) but i didn't find any rpms of a chinese locale tex system... is that the prob? what chinese tex/latex progs are out there?

I'm using mandrake 9.2
my locale lang=zh_CN
I'm using minichinput

hope someone can help, I would really like to write multilingual docs.
