chown -R need a hand please

I'm having troubles trying to chown -R

This is what happened

[root@centos1 ~]# cd /home/shaley

[root@centos1 shaley]# python /opt/python2.6/bin/virtualenv-1.5.2/virtualenv.py testevn
New python executable in testevn/bin/python
Installing setuptools.............done.

[root@centos1 shaley]# ls
Desktop env projects rpm software testevn

chown -R shaley.shaley testenv

[root@centos1 shaley]# chown -R shaley.shaley testenv
chown: cannot access `testenv': No such file or directory

please let me know what I did wrong and how to fix it.

Thanks

the ls output shows that the file is called testevn, while you're doing a chown on a file called testenv.

testenv instead of testevn or viceversa. Just a typo.
