chmod does not work?


Hi

the usal problem with windows. I used a usb-stick in a windows machine and it changed the permissins to -r--r--r--1 so now when i do chmod 777 file as root it does not work.

any ide?

Try mounting the device with a umask=777 (rwx) option.
