Changing User Group Didn't Work
 

Hi Guys,

I need help.... I have an ftp account and it can browse root. Suddenly for some reason maybe human error I can't browse root...

I tried to change the group to root by using usermod -G0 ryan and chown -R ryan.ryan /home/ryan but still didn't work...

Here the command i tried...

usermod -G0 ryan
chown -R ryan.ryan /home/ryan
chgrp ryan /home/ryan

Still I can't get in to the root...

Ohh by the way this box is also my mail server using postfix... If I did this chown -R ryan.ryan /home/ryan... can i still recieve my mail???

Hi Guys,

For the mean I lock my account to the folder I want... This only a temporary solution if you have some suggestion pls... do help me out...
