Changing screen resolution in Fedora Core 3

I installed Fedora Core 3 to my computer and worked fine. But awhile I was stupid enough to change to a resolution what my monitor can't display. So now when GUI starts the screen is completely blank.

How can I change to a different resolution ?

I remember in Mandrake there where these button which changed the resolution... Is there samekind in Fedora Core 3?

Please help me. And tell everything from the scratch because im a true newbie in linux world

Thank you

I would edit the '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' file, and remove the resolutions that your monitor cannot display. You should find a list of the resolutions in the "Screen" section. You can set different possible resolutions for different color depths.

But how do I get to the text console? And isn't there any key combination in the GUI that can change the screen resolution?
