Changing my Screen Resolution in KDE

I have a Debian system on a VIA EPIA board. I'm using a Samsung 711T monitor and the native resolution is 1280x1024. However, KDE won't let me go above 800x600. How can I change it?

Have you went to Control center > peripherals > display and tried to change the settings there?

Go to /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Edit it as root and make sure the HorizSync and VertRefresh ranges for your monitor are set properly.
