Changing Modem Phone number in Red Hat

been trying to help a friend... her company just recently (last week sometime) changed all the work phones from analog to digital.... now she has lost connections through her modem.... she tried to switch to another phone which still has analog but doesn't know how to change the number for the dial out.... it uses the prefix "9" then the phone number to connect... she needs t somehow remove the "9"... can you please advise?

I'm not sure if I'll be of any help, but the company I work for switched over to digital phones and everything goes to a central digital phone pc unit, (I have no idea what it's called). But long story short, we can not use a analog phone any more unless it is run on a dedicated line. So she will have to talk to the IS dept. I'm not sure, but I think her modems phone line will need to be dedicated. If what she is needing is work related and she needs it to do her job, then IS should be aware of it. If on the other hand she is trying to go around the IS dept, without there OK, she could get corrective action taken on her, possibly lose her job.
