Changing keyboard layout to dvorak
 

I found this file:
http://hyvatti.iki.fi/~jaakko/dvorak/dvorak_FI

It's dvorak with ä and ö. I put file (dvorak_FI) in

/etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/

and ran

setxkbmap -rules xorg -model pc105 -layout 'dvorak_FI,fi' \
-option '' -option 'grp:ctrls_toggle'

But it gives error "Error loading new keyboard description". Why and what should I do?

Hi,

maybe you check your folder of the keyboard symbols. My System has the xkb-related stuff in

and normally in /etc are mostly conf-files (settings). Try to check for a xkb folder in
/usr.

My /xkb/ is in /etc/..
