Change windows manager in SuSE 9.1
I just installed SuSE 9.1 on a rather old PC. On my login screen, there are no options to choose a window manager, KDE is started automatically. I saw in YaST that fvwm is installed. How do I start it?
I am a total newbie. Thanks. |
You have autologin enabled. control center, system administration, login manager, disable autologin.
Then you will have a choice at the login screen, on the bottom right. A screen which you probably haven't seen before. |
Thanks for the reply. I had disabled the auto login already - still my only options in the login screen are shutdwon and restart xserver.

Then you have no other GUI's installed. Install them. iceWM, blackbox, Gnome, windowmaker, etc.

I'm having the same problem and I have installed window manager. Still the only options are shutdown and xserver. Where's the file to edit?
