i have just installed slackware now in redhat there was a little button that says change resolution :) but now that i have moved on to Slackware how do i change the resolution? thanks guys |
Press ctrl+alt and cycle the resolution with + or -.
|
cool thanks
unfortunraly, before your response, i changed my x11config file and i added 1280x 1024 and now when i boot up linux it stops and says Starting up X11 session manager.... and it just stays there, so basically i just screwed myself :) |
okey dokey i reinstalled linux
i did the 'ctrl' + 'alt' + '+/-' but it seems to only go on 3 diff resolutions which are very low and i know my vid card can do more any suggestions? thanks |
did you reinstall slackware? if so have you run xf86config? slackware loads up a generic vesa driver at install. you have to run the configuration to get the specific drivers and settings for youe video. hope that helps.
good luck. |
